Our Sponsoring Clubs |
York Kennel Club is extremely proud of the role they play within the community. Whether helping recover a lost dog, educating the public about responsible dog ownership, offering breed ring training, breed referral or just being there to see that pets are treated fairly, they are dedicated to the idea that pet ownership is a privilege for all to cherish and enjoy.
Over the years, the York Kennel club has generously donated to local animal rescue organizations as well as service dog organizations in the area. These include: Animal Rescue, Susquehanna Stray Animal Shelter, Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, A.S.P.C.A., Susquehanna Service Dogs, K-9 Partners, and the Loving Eyes 4H Seeing Eye Puppy Club. We also have annually sponsored or co-sponsored Rabies clinics for pet cats and dogs, and Eye Clinics with a Veterinary Ophthalmologist. Proceeds from our annual Canine Good Citizen tests also benefit Animal Rescue. Our general meetings, which are open to the public, have recently hosted speakers who presented on educational topics such as Canine Health Issues, Canine Nutrition, Therapy Dogs, and Police Dog work.
The York Kennel Club will host Wednesday with Conformation and Friday with Conformation.

Delaware County Kennel Club is very community oriented. They have donated armored vests to local police departments for their K-9 companions, oxygen masks to local fire and rescue departments to be used on animals suffering from smoke inhalation, and money to the local SPCA for use in caring for rescued animals. The Club has a calendar full of events, including the AKC Dog Show and Obedience Trial, AKC Agility Trials in both March and April, a September Match Show, show handling classes open to the public, and club meetings to which the public is invited and which often feature educational programs. Club members are also involved with Therapy visits with their dogs at local Nursing Homes and Hospitals. The Pennsylvania Federation of Dog Clubs named the Delaware County Kennel Club the “Outstanding Club of the Year” in 2005 and again in 2008 because of their community activities. The Delaware County Kennel Club will host Saturday with Conformation and Sunday with Conformation.
